For further info: The Carolina Cardinal Camping Club was formed
in 1969. There are still 5 charter families who are active campers.
The club camps 9 months of the year (March
through November) on the third Saturday weekend.
One family is responsible for hosting the
campouts. The campouts are usually within 50 miles of Concord. The three winter months are
eating-meetings at area restaurants.

Chair
City Campers
Number of families: 20
Chapter campouts/yr: 6 + 2 Statewides
Members come from the
following counties: Davidson, Davie, Guilford, Forsyth, and
Randolph.
Chair City
Campers has a 41 year history and up to 20 families including
about 16 children. Ages range from infant to
about 70. It is a three-generation club.
The chapter usually camps the third weekend of the month 8 months of
the year at various camp grounds and RV parks usually within a two hour
trip.
Scheduling at campgrounds frequently forces a change from the third to
another weekend. In the off-season we gather for an indoor, dinner meeting on the third Saturday evening of the month.
Several Chair City members have earned FCRV scholarships and
national FCRV awards.

Raleigh Road Runners
Type of Chapter: Family
Number of families: 11 (And growing)
Chapter campouts/yr: 9
Members come from the
following counties: Wake,
Durham, Harnett, Johnston, & Montgomery
The Raleigh Roadrunners club has been an
active FCRV chapter for 40 years. Members range in age from mid thirties
to post retirement. We welcome families with children.
We have no restrictions on types of
rigs. Our members enjoy camping in tents, truck campers, travel trailers,
fifth wheels and motor homes.
We normally camp the second weekend of
each month from March through November. Members are asked to host one
campout per year at a site of their choice.
You may see us at Hagan Stone, Briarcliff,
Smithfield KOA, Flintlock Campground, Tranters Creek, Camp Clearwater, Wilmington KOA, Dan Nichols Park, Jordan Lake (Poplar
Point & Crosswinds), Creekwood Farms RV Park, Mayberry Campground,
Bandits Roost, Twin Lakes and many other sites across the state.

Randolph Ramblers
Type of Chapter: Family
Number of families: 12
Chapter campouts/yr: 7 or 8 with luncheon
meetings in the cold weather months.
Members come from the
following counties: Guilford, Randolph, surrounding.
The Randolph
Ramblers Camping Club, a chapter of FCRV, was organized March 27,
1965 with 21
families. The club received its Charter in the fall of 1965 at the
State Campout. The Ramblers typically camp the third weekend of the
month March or April through October and holds luncheon meetings from
November until spring.
The Randolph
Ramblers enjoy fun, fellowship, covered dish suppers, cookouts, and camping
with other chapters at statewide and district campouts each year.
The chapter hosts Boy
Scout Troop 571’s Spring Campout. The troop consists of
challenged, adult Scouts from Randolph County.
